Privacy Policy

Draft for the DailyDL prototype. This page must be reviewed and updated to accurately describe the live site's hosting, logs, analytics, cookies, advertising partners, and any backend processing before public launch.

Information you submit

The current prototype checks the URL you enter in your browser and does not intentionally send it to a DailyDL backend. A browser may still contact the website named in the URL when you attempt to download a direct media file. Hosting providers may collect standard server logs such as IP address, request time, and requested path. Confirm these behaviors against your production setup.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

No advertising is active in this prototype. If analytics, Google AdSense, or another advertising service is added, this policy must identify the relevant data practices and third parties. Advertising and measurement technologies may use cookies or similar technologies subject to applicable law and provider policies.

Consent and regional rights

Before enabling advertising, implement any required consent mechanism for the regions you serve, including a Google-certified consent management platform where required by Google's policies. Provide any legally required information and choices for access, deletion, objection, or other applicable privacy rights.

Data retention and security

Describe any link or media retention, server-side processing, abuse prevention, and deletion schedules accurately before launch. Do not claim that data is never stored unless the live implementation supports that statement.

Contact and updates

Publish a real monitored privacy contact address before launch. Update this policy whenever the site's data practices change. Replace this draft with a final policy that matches your actual deployment and legal obligations.
